Real Radio Scotland mid-morning presenter Paul Harper is going back to the station where he started out – hospital radio station Radio Lollipop.
He’ll present a special show on the station at Glasgow’s Yorkhill Children’s Hospital later this week.
We’re told paul will be bring his ‘fun mix of celebrity chat, news and great music’ to the children’s wards at Yorkhill on Wednesday between 6pm and 8pm, along with some festive cheer for the young patients.
Paul said: “I presented my first ever radio show when I was just 13 years old at my local Hospital Radio station, so this is a real treat for me to go back to how it all started for me; hopefully my chat’s a bit better now than it was then!
“On a serious note, I think the job Radio Lollipop does is just fantastic. I don’t think we can quantify the happiness that just hearing your favourite song can bring when you are poorly and which undoubtedly helps raise sprits and aid recovery.”
He added: “I’m really looking forward to doing this special show on Radio Lollipop and meeting some of the patients and families at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital.”
