Bauer’s Viking FM has a new breakfast show line-up from Monday as local lad Jim Coulson returns to his home county to join existing co-host Rosie Madison.
Jim joins from 2BR where’s he’s been on breakfast and did his last show this morning.
Jim told RadioToday.co.uk: “This is such an exciting opportunity and feels like I’m coming home; literally back to my hometown of Scunthorpe and also back to the radio station that I grew up with and that gave me my first big break, messing about on the radio. I can’t wait to get started!”
Rosie has been co-hosting Viking FM’s Breakfast Show for almost three years. She said: “It’s a really exciting time for Viking FM and I am looking forward to working with Jim on the breakfast show, as a local girl it’s great to have a co-host who is as equally passionate about our region.”
Jim replaces Paul Foster who left the breakfast show towards the end of last year and is now part of the weekend line-up.
Jono Symonds, Viking FM’s Programme Director said: “Viking FM is the local radio station for our region and having a presenter who is from the area is vital to our strategy. You just have to meet Jim to see how passionate and committed he is to the area. I’m excited about the new show and I have no doubt Jim & Rosie will entertain new and old listeners who tune in to Viking FM every week.”
