Australian simulcast for Absolute Radio

Christian O’Connell’s Absolute Radio breakfast show is to be simulcast on more than 80 stations across Australia and New Zealand for a day.

In two weeks’ time (18th May) the show will partner up with networked Aussie drivetime duo Hamish and Andy, with the triple-headed show going out in both the UK and ‘down under’.

The 7-10am show (4-7pm in Australia) will feature a mix of British and Australian news, sport and interviews. Hamish Blake and Andy Lee did a series of weekend shows for Absolute Radio back in 2010 when they brought their Fox FM drivetime show to the UK.

Absolute Radio’s Content Director Tony Moorey said: “Whether you’re a fan of Christian in the UK or Hamish & Andy in Australia, it’ll be a treat to hear the best radio talent from either side of the world join forces.”
