Former Absolute Radio presenter and 11 O’Clock Show host Iain Lee is joining BBC Three Counties Radio.
He’ll host the breakfast show on the BBC local radio station covering Herts, Beds and Bucks from next month, after covering some recent shows.
Iain left Absolute Radio in October 2011 after he and the station “regrettably and mutually” decided not to continue with his late night show.
But he told RadioToday.co.uk that he’s looking forward to his new show: “I’m very pleased to have been invited to be the host of the breakfast show on BBC 3CR. While the prospect of getting up at 4am for an extended period is slightly daunting, I am excited to be given this opportunity to do something a little different from my previous radio output. It’s also an honour to work for the mighty BBC.”
Previously, Iain spent three years at LBC 97.3 and has also worked at Xfm along with managing his own podcast.
