Xfm London has hired presenter, writer and comedian Jon Holmes to host breakfast, replacing Danny Wallace on the Global Radio station from January 7th.
Jon has most recently been heard on BBC 6 Music on Saturdays, and standing in for Graham Norton on Radio 2 during the summer.
In the summer he won Best Entertainment Producer with his company Unusual Productions at the Radio Production Awards – and you can see our interview with him here.
Jon says: “Xfm has always been the go-to station for enormous indie music, funny, irreverent broadcasting and the best ballsy entertainment on the radio. The Xfm Breakfast Show is the stuff of legend, and this is where we take it to the next level (which, in accordance with council regulations, has both steps and a ramp).”
Other changes on the network includes former MTV and 6 Music presenter Jo Good joins the station to host a show from 1-4pm across the UK. Dan O’Connell – who returns from fronting Channel 4’s Launched at Redbull Studios – will takeover London’s drive-time slot from 4-7pm whilst Clint Boon moves from early afternoons to present Manchester’s show.
Jon has won eight Sony Awards, two BAFTAs and three British Comedy Awards over the years.
