BBC Radio Derby’s afternoon show host Colin Bloomfield is taking over breakfast on the station, as Phil Trow heads back to Manchester.
Phil has been on the flagship show for three years and will now return to BBC Radio Manchester to present the afternoon programme, as Andy Crane leaves the daily show.
Phil says: “I’m going to miss a fantastic and talented group of people who have made the station such a success in recent years. Derby is a brilliant city to work in and the people of the city love Radio Derby. However 3 years away from my home in Manchester is long enough and I’m looking forward to not seeing the M6 for a while!”.
Kate Squire, Managing Editor of BBC Radio Manchester told RadioToday: “From time to time all stations refresh their schedules and we can confirm that we have decided that from April 2013 Phil Trow will be taking over the BBC Radio Manchester Drivet show.
“Drive’s current presenter Andy Crane will still be presenting the station’s Saturday Breakfast show and remains very much part of the station. We are also pleased to confirm that Andy Crane will be joining BBC Radio Sheffield as the new Sunday Breakfast presenter.”
