BBC Radio Cymru’s Editor of General Programmes Lowri Rhys Davies has announced she is leaving the station in the summer for family reasons.
In a note to staff, Sian Gwynedd, Head of Welsh Language Programmes and Services said her position will be advertised for ‘as soon as possible’ and Lowri will remain in her current role until the new editor has started and a handover period has taken place.
Lowri was appointed Editor at the station just last year after being a producer at the station since 2003.
“Lowri has led Radio Cymru with conviction and has taken a firm editorial lead since being appointed and we wish her well in the future,” Sian said.
