Capital FM entertains 80,000 at Wembley

Global Radio’s annual Summertime Ball has taken place in London with 80,000 joining Capital FM at Wembley for live music.

It kicked off with a DJ set from Capital presenter Marvin Humes followed by The Wanted and dozens of other artists.

One of the industry talking points was a photo from RadioToday Live which appears to show how the DJ duo Disclosure, when joined on stage by Eliza Doolittle, Sam Smith and AlunaGeorge, didn’t have any power going to their decks.

Psy, James Arthur, Loveable Rogues, Charlie Brown, Naughty Boy, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and more all entertained the crowd.

Robbie Williams ended the show with his anthem Angels.

The Summertime Ball supports Capital’s flagship charity, Help A Capital Child, with a donation being made from the proceeds of the event.
