Coventry’s New 96.2 Touch FM is celebrating its first month on air by announcing a link up with the Ricoh Arena.
The Quidem station has become the official media partner for the stadium and will play a key role in promoting and hosting a range of events there over the coming months.
The station has also signed an exclusive media partnership with the city’s shopping centre West Orchards. Huge banners featuring New 96.2 Touch FM branding will greet the seven million shoppers a year who visit there and the station will be featuring regular updates about ‘What’s On at West Orchards’.
Since rebranding a month ago, the station has raised thousands for the NSPCC, given cash to listeners for their selfies and revealed exclusive details about a home city gig for local group The Enemy.
Even the Prime Minister has been reciting the station strap line I never grew up after accepting a branded mug from journalist Seb Noble.
Steve Orchard, Chief Executive of the New 96.2 Touch FM said “As first months go, we’ve been pretty busy. We listened to our listeners who told us they wanted a station for Coventry and about Coventry. Our new breakfast show, our exciting music mix and our fantastic new partnerships are all part of creating a radio station that people round here can love.
He added “All that, and it’s only our first month – I need a lie down.”
