Rich Clarke replaces Annie Mac as SRA Chair
Former Capital FM and Big Top 40 presenter Rich Clarke is taking over from Annie Mac as Chair of the Student Radio Awards.
Rich, who now co-hosts Heart Breakfast on the South Coast, follows in the footsteps of Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and Jo Whiley, marking the first representative from commercial radio to take up the helm of Chair.
The Student Radio Awards take place this Thursday evening in London and are supported by BBC Radio 1 and Global.
Rich comments: “I started my career setting up a student station so it is a total honour to be part of something that celebrates the best of student radio. I have had so many opportunities because of student radio and I am proud to now chair the awards that will discover the future stars of our industry.”
