Nick Jackson to leave Bauer’s AM breakfast

Bauer’s City 2 England network presenter Nick Jackson has left the breakfast show just weeks after starting.

Bauer has confirmed to RadioToday that Nick has already left the show, and Viking FM presenter Sean Goldsmith is taking his place.

Sean joined Bauer a year ago from Peak, where is also presented breakfast.

Afternoon presenter on Bauer’s City 2 ‘Greatest Hits’ network Nick Wright has been covering breakfast for the last few weeks.

Owen Ryan, Group Content Director, Bauer City Network North of England and Scotland told RadioToday: “Sean Goldsmith is the new host of the BC2 England breakfast show. Nick Jackson decided that after raising his daughter for the last 5 years, family life is where he wants to focus at this time in life. We respect Nick’s decision and we look forward to him returning to radio in the future.”

Nick Jackson started his radio career on Radio Caroline and went on to present on other local and regional stations such as BRMB, 100.7 Heart FM and Smooth in the midlands. He’s decided to spend more time with his family – which is also the reason he left Virgin Radio back in 2011.
