Brody Swain gets BBC afternoons in Coventry

Former Touch FM breakfast show presenter Brody Swain is to take over the afternoon show on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

Brody has been working at the local BBC station for the last couple of years, after leaving commercial radio in 2013. He’s been hosting the BBC Introducing show, Saturday mornings and providing cover.

His move to a daily show comes as a result of Trish Adudu taking over breakfast with Jo Tidman.

Brody says “I was always a huge fan of BBC Coventry & Warwickshire before joining the station, so this is an absolute dream come true for me and I cannot wait to get back on air every day. I’m also really looking forward to getting out of the studio and meeting our brilliant listeners”.

BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Editor Andrew Bowman said “I’m thrilled to add Brody to the daily line-up. He’s a fantastic broadcaster with a passion for Coventry & Warwickshire. We’re going to be out and about every day taking the new show on the road to meet as many listeners in Coventry & Warwickshire as we can.”

He starts the 12pm – 3pm show on January 4th 2016.

The new line-up will be:

Weekdays

Trish (Adudu) & Jo (Tidman) @ Breakfast 6am-9am
Vic Minett 9am-12noon
Brody Swain 12noon-3pm
Phil Upton 3pm-6pm (except Friday’s when Clive Eakin presents)
BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Sport 6pm-7pm
Mark Forrest 7pm-10pm
Graham Torrington 10pm-1am
