Brit Scott Phillips joins Miami station as PD

Former UTV producer Scott Phillips is joining Miami’s Revolution Radio as programme director.

The Brit, who was producer of Ian Collins’ show on talkSPORT, also worked for Capital Radio group before a string of stations in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Dubai will also take an on-air shift and be the station voice when his new role begins in February.

Scott will also continue as Imaging Director for two production libraries at Benztown Branding in Burbank California.

Revolution Radio broadcasts an electronic dance music format from Florida Keys to West Palm beach on FM and on HD Radio. The independent station is staffed by dance music fanatics, and has recently featured guests ranging from Tiesto to Calvin Harris to Nicole Moudaber and Mannie Fresh.

“I’m absolutely ecstatic to be joining such a unique station”, says Scott. “We bring a global sound to Miami and I hope my experience in radio around the world – from Capital London to Channel 4 Dubai – will help that. We don’t play top 40, and why would we want to? For radio to survive it has to offer something new and that’s exactly what we will continue to do at Revolution Radio”.
