WCR FM plans 24 hour broadcast for charity

Community Radio presenter, 20 year old James Levett, is to broadcast non-stop for 24 hours on Easter Monday for charity.

He’ll be live on 101.8 WCR FM from 10am Bank Holiday Monday and says it’s one of the biggest challenges he has faced.

“To many people this may appear daunting but for me I am excited by the challenge! It is also
humbling as we will be raising money for an excellent local Charity, Compton Hospice,” he told RadioToday.

Grace Ruston, PR & Marketing Officer for Compton Hospice, commented: “We are so excited and moved that James has chosen to support Compton Hospice as part of his 24 hour broadcast on WCR. It’s certainly going to be a challenge, but we are sure he will rise to it and have every faith that he will succeed. I shall be showing my support for James by coming along to the WCR studio to help kick off the broadcast-athon and look forward to telling him more about how the money he raises will go towards supporting local people living with incurable illnesses.”
