Smooth North West presents £46k to charity

Smooth Radio North West presenter Darren Parks has surprised the staff of Rainbow House with a cheque for £46,000 from Global’s Make Some Noise.

Rainbow House offers rehabilitation, education and fun for children, young people and adults with neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, brain injury and genetic disorders.

Smooth North’s Group Brand Programme Director, Jamie Griffiths told RadioToday: “We are incredibly proud that for a second year running Global’s Make Some Noise has been able to support Rainbow House. We have seen first-hand the great work done by the team and they are a charity close to our hearts. It’s been a privilege to see how Make Some Noise has supported their wonderful work, and it’s great to know we can support even more charities like this in the coming year.”

Carol Cochrane CBE DL, chief executive at Rainbow House said: “This funding from Global’s Make Some Noise means we can make more miracles come true. It’s so amazing and I can’t tell you the difference this is going to make to the lives of everybody that’s connected to Rainbow House. We are very grateful to Smooth, Global and all their listeners for their generosity in supporting us.”

The money was raised in the North West by Global stations taking part in Make Some Noise.
