The XS Manchester Breakfast Show today was a repeat of yesterday’s programme, in light of the US holiday and movie, Groundhog Day.
Breakfast presenters Steve Berry and Matt White got the morning off because of the stunt, but we are informed they will be back on-air tomorrow.
It didn’t take too long for listeners to notice – with social media full of comments about the unexpected repeat.
Cal wrote: “spent my entire commute thinking I’ve been having a stroke. Repeating the same show.. crafty.”
“You pair of buggers” from Big Al.
“Come on you massive idiots. Are you there or just pressed the replay button? Doing my head in” was tweeted by Steve in Salford.
Station Director, Ande Macpherson said; “We were supposed to have a quote from Steve but obviously he’s at home. I think I have been conned. It is clearly a crazy thing for a radio station to do but where the rubber hits the road the boys have really just had a sleep-in today.”
