Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling is making a brief move to national breakfast radio, covering two days for Alan Brazil at talkSPORT.
talkRADIO and former Sky presenter Eamonn Holmes will also cover two shows whilst Alan is away from 20th Feb, whilst talkSPORT mid-morning host Jim White covers on the final day.
Jeff Stelling, host of Sky Sports’ Saturday afternoon show ‘Soccer Saturday’ commented: “Big Al has big boots to fill but I’ve been brushing up on the best bubbly and Cheltenham form to give listeners the very best Breakfast show! I can’t wait to get stuck into the stories of the day and speaking to some top names in sport”.
Regular host of ITV’s ‘This Morning’ and former Sky Sunrise presenter Eamonn Holmes: “I worshiped Alan Brazil from the terraces of Old Trafford as a child and now to be in such a legend’s seat, albeit it for only 2 days, is an ambition fulfilled!”.
Eamonn has previously done radio shows for several radio stations – including six years on Saturday mornings at BBC Radio 5 live. He’s also been on Downtown Radio, Magic 105.4 and more recently talkRADIO. Jeff started his broadcasting career as a football reporter for Radio Tees in the late 1970s and later worked at LBC and Radio 2’s Sport on 2 before making the move to television.
The week of shows begins on Monday 20th February on talkSPORT from 6am.
