BBC Radio 5 live Fighting Talk presenter Colin Murray will host this year’s Radio Festival.
He takes over from Paddy O’Connell who has looked after proceedings at the annual event for the last couple of years, which has found its new home at the British Library in London.
The line-up has yet to be confirmed for the Radio Academy event, booked in for May 23rd this year instead of its more recent Autumn date. The theme this year is ‘Stand-Out!’
Colin Murray commented: “As a radio nerd, I’m really looking forward to hosting Radio Festival 2017. I’ve been involved in radio for 17 years now, and I remain as in love with it today as ever before, so I’ll enjoy every part of being involved with this.
Colin previously hosted live versions of his 5 live show Fighting Talk at the Radio Festival but there’s no word yet on a repeat performance.
