Chris Country Radio goes Under The Apple Tree

A series hosted by Miles Myerscough-Harris, son of Radio 2 country radio presenter Bob Harris, is set to air on Chris Country.

The Under The Apple Tree radio show will be on the digital station for an exclusive series of session recordings never heard before on the radio, from Sunday 4th June for eight weeks. The programmes contain sessions recorded at their famous studio in Oxfordshire.

Under The Apple Tree sessions are and intimate performances recorded live in the studio of Whispering Bob, which just happens to be situated under an apple tree in his back garden. Miles says: “We’ve been recording Under The Apple Tree sessions for three years now, and I’m delighted to be sharing highlights from our catalogue every week on Chris Country. From familiar songs performed by artists you love, to some really cool interpretations of tracks you’ll know from elsewhere, I can’t wait to share them with Chris Country’s listeners across the UK.”

Chris Country Programme Director Chris Stevens added: “We’re committed to bringing exclusive and exciting country music to our listeners, and Under The Apple Tree’s live sessions are superb. We’re pleased to welcome Miles to the station.”

The Under The Apple Tree Radio Show is an eight-part series, broadcasting on Sunday afternoons at 5pm, with a replay on Thursday evenings at 8pm. Artists spotlighted in the first show include The Shires, Colter Wall and Frankie Davies.
