MKFM’s Secret Sound guessed after 9 months

Milton Keynes local radio station MKFM have given away £3,080 on The MK Secret Sound, nine months after the competition was launched.

The radio station has been running the competition twice a day, at Breakfast and Drivetime, with listeners able to call in and guess what they thought the mystery sound was.

The latest winner, Milton Keynes resident Alfie, means that MKFM have now given away over £5,000 in the last year with The MK Secret Sound.

The sound was revealed to be ripping celery from a stalk, with guesses ranging from a pricing gun to a hand clapper toy.

Darren Dorrington, Managing Director at MKFM said “We’ve been playing for months and it’s fantastic that Alfie has now won over £3,000. We’re proud that every competition winner on MKFM is local to Milton Keynes and I would like to thank Thurlow Nunn Vauxhall for making it possible.”

Greg Burnet, Drivetime Presenter at MKFM said “I was delighted to be able to finally give away the cash prize after months and months of guessing. Alfie told me before he found out he won that he would give some of the money to his mum, so I hope he does now that he has won!”

MKFM’s next big cash prize competition, ‘What did Donald do?’, is launching shortly with listeners asked to identify what US President Donald Trump has been doing in our mystery clip. The cash prize will initially start at £500.
