Radio 1’s Annie Mac Joins Next Radio line-up


More speakers for this year’s Next Radio conference have been announced, including BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac.

Joining Annie Mac on the 18th September at London’s Royal Institution will be Somethin’ Else’s Nan Davies explaining the success of the Penguin Podcast, Key 103’s News Editor Michelle Livesey talking about creating campaigning journalism, Sindhu Vee and Brett Spencer with info on BBC Asian Network’s comedy events, and Irish radio coach Nails Mahoney will explain “why radio sucks”.

Speakers announced previously include Nicky Birch from Rosina Sound for BBC R&D who will share her work on interactive audio programmes for the Amazon Echo, and Liz Haynes from BBC Radio and Music Multiplatform who will share lessons learnt when designing artwork for audio.

The line-up also includes Emily Turnbull from RadioWorks, presenter Sam Walker and US radio consultant Valerie.
