A free radio event with Scott Mills in Leeds
Radio 1’s Scott Mills is taking part in a live theatre event on the eve of the ARIAS in Leeds, where he’ll be interviewed by David Lloyd.
Scott Mills in Conversation takes place on Wednesday 18th October at the Leeds College of Music, just next door to the BBC Yorkshire building where Radio Leeds is based.
The event is part of Segue – a two-day festival of the radio and audio industry taking place in the run up to the Radio Academy’s awards on the evening of Thursday 19th October, which Scott is hosting.
Radio 1’s afternoon show presenter will be talking about his early career at Power FM, GWR FM, Key 103 and Heart 106.2 plus his 20 years at Radio 1.
Tickets for the event are free and available from the Leeds College of Music website.
The evening will also include a performance from up and coming artist and former Leeds College of Music student Lucy Whittaker, who has had one of her songs picked as BBC Introducing’s Track of the Week and has been supported by Radio 1.
Director of Operations at Leeds College of Music, David Warren said: “We are absolutely delighted to partner with The Radio Academy and LeedsBID on Segue, which will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of our events schedule for the Autumn season. As an institution which provides relevant, cutting-edge experience to the next generation of the music industry, we are particularly thrilled to host an event which will provide an excellent insight for those wanting to learn more about the radio and audio sector.”
