Welsh singer, songwriter & broadcaster Jay James is joining Nation Broadcasting for Sunday dinner, replacing the Big Top 40 show.
Jay will be hosting a music and entertainment show on Nation Broadcasting’s five radio stations across Wales – Bridge FM Radio, Swansea Bay Radio, Radio Carmarthenshire, Radio Pembrokeshire and Radio Ceredigion, starting this Sunday from 4pm till 7pm.
Pembrokeshire-born Jay James was a hotly tipped favourite on The X Factor in 2014 and has recently been hosting programmes on Forces Radio BFBS. His first guests on the new show this weekend include Mark Ronson, Jess Glynne and Callum Scott.
Jay told RadioToday: “Being a proud Welshman, I’ve listened to these stations growing up. They stand for everything radio should: local, relevant and all about playing great music.
“Having had the honour of being featured as an artist on here for many years now, to have the opportunity to further my broadcasting career with such an exciting new show is a dream.”
Group Programme Director, Neil Greenslade, told RadioToday: “It’s great to develop new exciting talent and brilliant to have Jay join our team here in Wales.”
The Sunday afternoon slot was previously home to the Global-produced Big Top 40 but this is changing this week to become available only for Heart and Capital stations.
