BBC Music Introducing LIVE is returning in November across 3 days, with over 35 local BBC Introducing shows taking part and 17 exciting live events.
From the 3rd–5th November, BBC Music Introducing LIVE will see an array of live as well as on-air gigs, masterclasses, practical workshops, talks and Q&As take place across the UK.
Industry experts will share their invaluable, insider knowledge with hopeful young creatives and budding artists, with the goal of supporting and inspiring the next generation of those looking to break into the music industry.
BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra and 6 Music will also reflect the festival on air across the 3 days.
BBC Radio 1’s Gemma Bradley, BBC Introducing Dance’s Jaguar, BBC 1Xtra’s Theo Johnson and BBC Introducing Rock’s Alyx Holcombe, will join forces to share their best advice for new and emerging artists on a special Radio 1 show.
All-female alternative rock band, Prima Queen, will join Steve Lamacq on 6 Music for a BBC Music Introducing special.
Alongside this, BBC 1Xtra’s newest presenter, Theo Johnson, will host a first of its kind BBC Introducing and BBC 1Xtra collaborative ‘Cypher’ at Maida Vale Studios, which will then broadcast on air for listeners. The Cypher will see over 20 undiscovered UK Rap and RnB artists each take 16 bars for a freestyle performance before they pass the microphone on to the next artist over one continuous beat.
Now in its 15th anniversary year, BBC Music Introducing has been dedicated to discovering and supporting new music since 2007. It gives up-and-coming artists broadcast opportunities on BBC radio, television and online, alongside the chance to perform at major festivals and showcases.
Kelly Betts, Editor, BBC Introducing says: “BBC Music Introducing LIVE is one of the fastest growing and most exciting events in the calendar for any young artist or creative, and I am so proud to be taking it right across the UK this year.
“Our goal with BBC Music Introducing Live is to provide unrivalled access for anyone aspiring to make their way in to the business and to give emerging homegrown talent across the nation the opportunity to build profile and awareness as they take their next step in their careers”.
