The Radio Academy’s upcoming Training Day in Cardiff will include BBC Radio 2 presenter Owain Wyn Evans in conversation with sports host Jason Mohammad.
The event is taking place in Cardiff on Wednesday 29 March, hosted by The School of Journalism, Media and Culture (JOMEC) at Cardiff University.
It’s open to everyone interested in learning about radio and audio – whether you’re involved in student radio, community radio, hospital radio, podcasting, freelance or employed.
At the event, new BBC Radio 2 Early Breakfast Presenter, Owain Wyn Evans – who presents his show from Cardiff every weekday morning – will be in conversation with fellow Radio 2, Radio Wales and BBC Sport presenter Jason Mohammad.
With many more speakers to be announced, the Radio Academy promises a schedule of guest speakers and panels covering all elements of the sector, including programming, music, news, speech, imaging, technology, presenting, podcasting and more.
Sam Baily, Radio Academy MD says: “Our aim is to inspire, inform and motivate people to get on in our wonderful industry. The programme will end with a Demo Clinic, for aspiring presenters to get feedback on their showreels.
“And at the end of the day, we’ll gather in a local bar for networking drinks so you can meet and get to know your colleagues in the Wales Branch of The Radio Academy.”
