Muff Murfin takes over BRMB evening show this week

After more than 40 years behind the microphone as a jingle and record producer, Muff Murfin is presenting his first shows on BRMB.

Station owner, Muff was known as the M and O Band back in the 1970s, and reached No. 16 in the UK Singles Chart in 1976 with “Let’s Do the Latin Hustle”.

He also wrote the theme for Gladiators, which is still used on the show today. He is also behind range of music for advertising, radio and television programmes and his jingles have run on radio stations in the UK and around the world.

Paul Ellery, BRMB programme Director says: “It’s taken me several years to get Muff to present a show and use his decades of experience on air. I can’t wait to drive home listening to him.”

Muff Murfin says that after a day in the BRMB offices in Aston, he can’t wait to be on air and might even slip in an old jingle bed to talk over for the anoraks!

Muff is on Monday to Thursday from 6pm until 10pm.
