Radio boss runs for council

Mansfield 103.2 managing director Tony Delahunty has revealed that he will be standing as a Labour candidate in the Mansfield District Council's Broomhill Ward, on May 3rd. The news comes just weeks after the station took a large amount of financial control of the local football club, Mansfield Town.

"I have decided to run for council under the banner of views I have always believed in, and I do believe I can take the situation in Mansfield forwards. I've never felt ready to enter into something like this before – but I'm ready now." he told Mansfield Today.

Tony is also vice chairman of business development organisation Mansfield 2020.
