Summer Nights at BBC H&W

Andrew Easton is getting ready to host a new summer evening show on BBC Hereford & Worcester. The local show, each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7pm, will play album and chart hits from the past 30 years, and replaces a networked Country show (Mondays) and Jazz show (Wednesday).

Andrew originally hails from Christchurch in New Zealand and joined BBC Hereford & Worcester's presenting team in 2000. He also occasionally presents for BBC Radio Gloucester and BBC WM. Andrew landed the role of presenting the Early Show on BBC Hereford & Worcester before moving onto presenting the Sunday Show between 12noon and 3pm.

The new evening show replaces Marie Crichton's Country Music Show on Mondays, Mel Hill's Jazz Show on Wednesdays and Nonny James' Fretwork on Thursdays. Malcolm Boyden's Extra Time show continues to broadcast on BBC Hereford & Worcester on Tuesday nights, between 7-9pm — including all the usual sport and entertainment chat — and The Friday Session, between 7-9pm, continues with Andrew Marston bringing listeners the latest new music from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

James Coghill, Managing Editor, BBC Hereford & Worcester, says: "Andrew will be playing a brilliant soundtrack of the last 30 years, from classic album tracks, right up to today's great music. Listeners will also receive the most up to the minute travel service in the area, every 20 minutes."
