Her new show, Charlotte Green’s Great Composers, will profile famous composers from Mozart and Beethoven through to Tchaikovsky and Elgar and start with Johann Sebastian Bach on April 7th.
Charlotte said: “I’m delighted to have this opportunity to work for Classic FM. I’ve always enjoyed listening to a range of classical music and am very excited about this new venture.”
Just last week, Charlotte was recognised when she won the Broadcasting Press Guild’s Radio Broadcaster of the Year Award, beating fellow presenters Martha Kearney and Jarvis Cocker.
Classic FM’s Managing Editor Sam Jackson: “As one of this country’s best-loved broadcasters, Charlotte Green is a true national treasure. After spending many years sharing the latest news with millions of listeners, we’re thrilled that she’ll now be sharing her love of classical music with our listeners on Classic FM.”
