Unstoppable Moyles adds more

Chris Moyles is still attracting new listeners to his BBC Radio 1 breakfast show. Figures released today show an extra 200,000 listeners since last quarter, giving him 7.26 million listeners. He is slowly bridging the gap on Wogan on Radio 2, with just 660,000 listeners difference.

Jenny Abramsky, the BBC's director of audio and music, said: "These figures show a remarkable quarter for Radio 1. The network's distinctive music programming, combined with an innovative use of digital technology, have ensured it remains as relevant as ever to young listeners.'"

Terry Wogan has added 40,000 listeners this quarter but still stands at nearly eight million – or 7.92 to be exact.
