BBC Radio 1 breakfast presenter Nick Grimshaw has just announced he’s taking the show on the road in the run up to Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
He’ll visit Bangor, Maidstone, Swindon and Derry~Londonderry with a number of artists and special guests for his first ever Radio 1 Breakfast Show Tour.
During the four date UK tour Nick will broadcast special shows from previous Big Weekend host cities, with 2012 X Factor semi-finalists Union J set to perform at the first date in Bangor. Other guests set to make an appearance appear during the tour will be announced in the coming weeks.
Grimmy will be going back to the class-room and presenting his show from local schools, in front of an invited audience on the Bangor, Maidstone and Swindon dates. The final show in the tour will come from Radio 1’s Academy in Derry~Londonderry, which is opening its doors from 11th – 17th May.
Nick Grimshaw said: “I can’t wait to go wild on tour with some of my favourite popstars and it’ll be great to meet the good listeners of Radio 1!”
