Justin Kings exits Bauer Radio Northeast

After three years, Justin Kings has left Bauer Radio in the North East and Cumbria where he has been Head of News.

He’s been overseeing news on CFM, the Magic North Network, Metro Radio and TFM since 2010 and was previously Group News Editor at Capital Radio and GCap Media and he was Assistant Editor at BBC London 94.9.

Speaking to Radio Today, Justin has paid tribute to his journalist colleagues: “I feel lucky to have worked with some of the most enthusiastic, hard working and talented young people in my career. My highlight would be broadcasting details of 50 million pounds worth of new work in the region during our three £1m of Work campaigns, backed by the Prime Minister. Together the news team earned more than 25 award nominations in three years and won three Sonys. So, I’m very proud of our achievements.”

Justin is now focused on new projects in the UK and abroad. Over the next few months, he will travel to a number of European countries working on social media and visualized radio assignments for the Eurovision Academy, the training and development arm of the EBU.
