National news provider IRN has launched a new service to provide its 250 client stations with promotional audio and text. Content Extra allows PR companies to distribute their audio and press releases directly within the IRN news feed, and will be clearly marked so.
The regular material from IRN is sent directly into the station’s news capture systems, and Content Extra sits alongside it so radio journalists and programme controllers can now access a range of additional promotional news and feature content without the need to search the web.
