Real Radio Yorkshire’s Managing Director of 11 years Steve South is leaving the station to focus on new projects.
He’ll be concentrating on two new business projects he’s been working on recently but says it will be sad to leave the station after so long.
“I’ve made some amazing friendships and worked with some of the best people in the radio industry during my time at Real Radio, it’ll be sad to say goodbye to the most important part of any business, the people. However, I’m really looking forward to bringing together some of the plans and thoughts I’ve had for a while now, and getting stuck into new and exciting opportunities,” Steve said.
In addition, Real Radio North East Managing Director Michael McIntyre will move back to Real Radio North West next week to head up the regional agency business. He was previously MD of Real Radio North West before moving to the North East.
Meanwhile, Pauline Peniche has taken up the role of Station Director across Real and Smooth Radio North East. Pauline has nearly 20 years of experience within the North East radio marketplace including time at TFM and CFM in Carlisle.
