Moyles catching Wogan at Breakfast

BBC Radio 1 is continuing to bridge the gap on the UK's biggest breakfast show. Whilst Terry Wogan remains the favourite with 7.7 million listeners, Moyles has added another 330,000 taking his total this quarter to 7.3 million.

Radio 1 has also increased overall listening, taking the audience from 10.58 to 10.69 million in the last three months. Meanwhile at BBC Radio 2 the audience now stands at 12.82 million, Radio 3 at 1.95 million and Radio 4 brings in 9.29 million.
BBC services now reach more than nine million listeners via digital platforms, with nearly 5.6 million of those tuning in via DAB digital radio.

Director of BBC Audio and Music Jenny Abrambsky said: "It is really heartening to see digital listening continuing to grow and DAB digital radio playing a key part in that success."

Please note: Any figures compared year-on-year are subject to further investigation due to the introduction of a new survey by RAJAR from June '07.
