LBC launches new jingles

Global Radio’s LBC 97.3 FM is sounding different today with the introduction of new imaging by IQ Beats and voice-over Greg Marston.

The idents are the second custom package for LBC from the Seattle-based company and features a mix of modern sounds and instrumentals.
The new jingles are joined by a return of former station voice, Greg Marston. Greg has been the station voice of many radio stations in the UK, including Classic FM and GWR during the networked ‘Better Music Mix’ period.
Work started on the new imaging four months ago, led by LBC’s Programme Director Jonathan Richards and Executive Producer Chris Lowrie. At the end of November 2007, Jonathan and Chris flew out to Seattle, with support from British Airways, to spend four days recording the live music with the prestigious 60-piece Seattle Symphony Orchestra.
Jonathan Richards said: “Our distinctive new sound confirms LBC 97.3 FM as the first call for Londoners to have their say. LBC 97.3 leads the way for debate, analysis and opinion plus essential news, sport, travel and weather for London. We intend to listen to London, thus enabling our listeners to be the voice of London.”
Chris Lowrie, Executive Producer, LBC 97.3 FM, said: “We are delighted with this exciting new sound for LBC 97.3 FM, making us stand out from the rest of the market. It's fresh and distinctive and reflects LBC as the best talk station in London.
Michael Berlin, Managing Director, IQ Beats, said: "I couldn't be more thrilled with the new LBC on-air imaging package. Working with the LBC team was an absolute pleasure. They had a vision for where they wanted to take their new sound, and didn't hold anything back. Add to that, the unique opportunity to record with a full symphony, and I think the end result is nothing short of fantastic"
The new imaging launched on-air at 7am today (Monday 4th February) on Nick Ferrari’s breakfast show.
