Darren Spence is to join the Signal1 as breakfast show presenter from the end of September, alongside regular co-host Louise Stones.
Spence joins the station from Heart 106 where he presented the drivetime show.
UTV Radio Deputy Group Programme Director Simon Walkington said: “I'm confident that Darren and Louise will hit the ground running, grow the audience and continue to be the number one breakfast show in Staffordshire and Cheshire.”
Spence’s appointment follows the resignation of Andy Goulding who will be leaving Signal 1 at the end of August before taking up the role of breakfast presenter at Mercia FM.
