Former Chrysalis Radio chief executive Phil Riley has joined Reciva as chairman of the company.
Reciva is a Cambridge based internet radio technology firm founded in 2003, and the leading technology provider in the internet radio market.
Riley was chief executive of Chrysalis Radio from 1999 to 2007, and led its sale in July 2007 to Global Radio for £170m.
Riley commented: “I'm thrilled to be with Reciva, which has positioned itself as the leading technology provider in the rapidly expanding internet radio market. “Connected” radios will define the future of audio broadcasting, so it’s great to be working with the market leader at such an early stage.”
Ben Terrell, chief executive of Reciva said: “Phil is an acknowledged leader in the UK radio industry. His business and broadcasting skills will ensure Reciva maximizes its market leading position as the Internet radio industry develops.”
