Diane jets back to BBC Tees

Former Gladiator Diane Youdale – better known as Jet from the original show – has joined BBC Tees to co-present the mid-morning show with Neil Green.

Youdale, who is originally from Billingham, has a long association with the radio station – her dad, Jack Youdale, was BBC Tees' astronomer for 30 years.
Diane says: "I'm rediscovering my roots. Teesside is an amazing area, with its industrial history and the recent regeneration.
"It's absolutely fascinating, I love what's been done and there's still so much to do. I’m very excited to come back home.
Managing Editor Matthew Barraclough says: "We're extremely lucky that Diane's decided to join our team – she brings a wealth of experience, a really positive attitude and a great sense of fun."
