BBC Radio 1 presenter Sian Eleri is taking over as presenter on the weekly syndicated show Selector Radio.
Produced by Audio Always, Selector Radio is shared with more than 30 countries around the world connecting a global audience with the UK music scene, funded by the British Council.
Sian will be joining from BBC Radio 1 where she presents four nights a week on the station across two shows – The Chillest Show and The Power Down Playlist.
She will also be taking on the Future Artists slot on BBC Radio 1 in the new year too.
Growing up in Caernarfon, Sian is a proud Welsh speaker and can be heard regularly on BBC Radio Cymru.
Sian also has extensive experience in hosting live events including Glastonbury, BBC Proms, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend as well as the Welsh Music Prize and the red carpet for the BIFA Awards.
Speaking about her new appointment, Sian said: “Having featured on Selector numerous times over the years, this feels like a real full-circle moment getting to work on the show again but this time in the position I always dreamed about. “There are big boots to fill with the departure of Jamz however I can’t wait to get started, bringing listeners old and new a weekly vibrant mix of genres and the freshest sounds from across the UK.”

Sian’s first official show will be January 19 2024. Radio presenter, and international DJ Mo Ayoub – who is already part of the ‘Selector family’ with regular deputising roles – will cover the show in the new year until then.
