Media City boss quits Salford

The man responsible for the setting up of Media City is to step down from his position after just 12 months in charge.

Brian Greasley, managing director for the site, was [link=http://salfordquays.org/news.php?item.23.4]headhunted[/link] and employed by Peel Holdings but now he is 'seeking new challenges' having done the job he set out to do.
The Manchester Evening News [link=http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/business/s/1078073_peel_hunts_a_new_boss_for_mediacity]suggested[/link] that there had been a "mutual realisation" that he was perhaps not the best person to drive the project further forward.
In 2011, it is expected that BBC Radio 5 Live, 5 Live Extra and BBC Radio Manchester will move to Salford Quays, joining commercial stations Smooth Radio, Century Radio, Rock Radio, Xfm, Galaxy and Gold.
