Ofcom have announced why they awarded the local radio licence for Northallerton to BTN FM.
As this was a smaller licence more emphasis was on the need to substain the service rather than extending listener choice in terms of format. Ofcom explains that the backing of TLRC gives BTN FM a strong degree of financial stability.
