Capital's Johnny misses court

Capital FM breakfast presenter Johnny Vaughan has been fined for using his mobile phone whilst driving. And because his children were sick, he missed his hearing at Richmond Magistrates' Court .

A local newspaper reports Vaughan phoned to apologise for not showing up and explained his children were poorly and he would be willing to appear at a later date or be dealt with without being there, entering a guilty plea.
Vaughn pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a £120 fine, £70 in court costs and a £15 surcharge.
He was caught using his phone in Kensington.
