More stations sign for Piri

Mobile marketing specialist Piri has added nine more radio stations to its client list, bringing to 25 the total number of stations now using Piri software for receiving text messages.

The six Welsh stations owned by Town and Country Broadcasting, along with Reading 107 FM, Oxford’s FM107.9 and Adventure Radio’s Dream 107.7 signed up with Piri this month. They join the CN and Tindle Radio Groups who started using Piri Live earlier this year. Both CN and Tindle are using Piri Live in all studios across their 16 stations.
Piri Live offers a ‘text the DJ’ facility, plus voting, text competitions, and receiving pictures for display on the station websites.
David Rees, Group Programme Director at Tindle Group, said “In the current climate it is more important than ever to find cost effective ways of improving our offering to listeners and advertisers. Piri Live gives us all the functionality of other more expensive mobile response systems at a fraction of the cost. It has made a significant difference for us across the operation.”
Lee Bowden Managing Director of Piri said “We are seeing more and more broadcasters starting to appreciate the value of mobile. It’s a win win situation – the audience gets the instant interaction they want, and the radio stations get effective marketing tools which add to the bottom line for them and their advertisers.”
