NLive Radio appeal delivers gifts for local families

More than 2,000 Christmas presents have been collected by NLive Radio to support families across Northamptonshire.

The NLive Radio Christmas Present Appeal has provided gifts worth more than £10,000, which are now being distributed to people and families in need across the county through five local charity partners.

Listeners and residents responded in large numbers, helping the station reach more than 2,000 donated gifts, ensuring many households receive something special this Christmas who may otherwise have gone without.

Rebecca Steers, Station Manager at NLive Radio, said: “We are overwhelmed by the generosity shown once again by our listeners and the wider Northampton community. These donations will bring joy to so many people who might otherwise go without a gift this Christmas.”

This year’s appeal supported five charities working directly with families and individuals facing hardship. These included The Doddridge Centre, which supports local residents through its community hub, and Baby Basics Northampton, which provides essential items for newborns and their mothers.

Also involved were The Spring Charity, which supports vulnerable families with young children, The Hope Centre, and Growing Together Northampton, which runs wellbeing and family support activities.

More than 40 donation boxes were placed across Northampton, the highest number since the appeal began.
