London Gatwick’s North Terminal has been temporarily renamed the Jordan North Terminal for one day, following a challenge set by Capital Breakfast presenters.
The idea began earlier in the week when Jordan North, Chris Stark and Siân Welby asked listeners to suggest unusual places for the show to appear across the UK.
One listener suggested renaming the North Terminal after Jordan, which caught the attention of both the presenters and travel company Tui.
Tui contacted Capital Breakfast to see if the suggestion could be made a reality, and today, signage throughout the terminal was changed to reflect the new name.
Jordan, Chris and Siân visited the airport this morning to see the transformation in person, with Jordan describing the experience as “completely surreal.”
Passengers arriving at Gatwick today will see the temporary signage and can say they have travelled through the Jordan North Terminal. The name change is only in place for today, and normal signage will return after the event.
