BBC Music to cover Reading and Leeds 2026


BBC Music will provide extensive radio coverage of Reading and Leeds Festival 2026 across the August Bank Holiday weekend.

From Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August, BBC Radio 1 will broadcast live from Reading, featuring headline performances and festival highlights.

Vicky Hawkesworth, Nat O’Leary, Minah Shannon, Sam and Danni will lead the coverage, with listeners able to tune in on Radio 1 and BBC Sounds.

On Wednesday 26th August, Jack Saunders will announce a secret set for Reading Festival during Radio 1’s New Music Show at 6pm.

Radio 1 will be live from Reading from 10am to 4pm on Friday, and 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

On Monday 31st August, the station will air a special show from 6pm to 1am, looking back at the weekend’s performances and highlights.

Radio 1 Dance will continue the festival celebrations on Thursday 3rd September from 6pm to 10pm, focusing on The Warehouse Stage.

From Monday 31st August, BBC Radio 6 Music’s Indie Forever stream will feature an hour of headline sets from Reading Festival each day at midday.

Performances will include Nirvana, Arctic Monkeys, Florence + The Machine, Fontaines D.C. and The 1975.
