Christian O’Connell is to return to BBC Radio 5 Live for a week, covering Richard Bacon’s afternoon slot.
No stranger to 5 Live, having previously hosted Fighting Talk and the Christian O'Connell Solution, Christian will front the show from Monday September 6th.
The show will feature the latest news, sport and entertainment stories, plus regular features such as Tuesday's TV Review. Christian will also be joined by special guests throughout the week, including food writer and broadcaster Nigella Lawson and comedian Alexei Sayle.
Christian said: "Richard Bacon always makes interesting and entertaining radio so to cover his show is a real thrill and pleasure. Earlier this year I covered Danny Baker's, so it's a bit of a comedown to Richard's – but I'll do it, as a nasty tax bill has just come in!"
Christian will continue to present his Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio while he is on 5 Live, between 2pm and 4pm.
