Tony Blair's former communications director Alastair Campbell is to guest present the evening show on LBC tonight.
He'll talk about his recent role on Channel 4's Dream School and will be joined by a couple of the young people he tried to teach on the show.
Campbell was Downing Street's Director of Communications and Strategy between 1997 and 2003 and is still active in politics for the Labour party.
LBC 97.3's Programme Director Jonathan Richards said: “I’ve been working on persuading Alastair to guest present for more than a year now. His programme on London’s biggest conversation gives listeners the chance to engage with him directly. He is taking an active role in devising the programme and I know he will enjoy taking calls direct from Londoners.”
Alastair – who will be on 7-10pm tonight – said: “It is a good time to be doing the programme, right in the middle of Jamie’s Dream School and in the week when I will be helping to launch a new mental health campaign. I like LBC 97.3 and I commend Jonathan Richards for his perseverance and his refusal to take ‘no’ for an answer.”
