Virgin Radio in DAB giveaway

Virgin Radio will be bringing the World Cup to motorists in DAB digital quality this summer thanks to a new promotion with JVC. The promotion will involve a JVC KD-DB711 CD and DAB tuner being given away everyday in the last two weeks of May on the drivetime show with Martin Collins.

The giveaway is part of a campaign that will see JVC simultaneously promoting the CD & DAB tuner in Halfords. The new JVC tuner is one of the best ways to listen to World Cup coverage on the move this summer, providing in-car listeners with supreme sound quality compared to MW.

The attention-grabbing promotion will run every afternoon on the Drivetime show to generate interest and encourage the station’s national audience to catch their football highlights on JVC’s DAB technology. The promotion will see Martin Collins take listeners on air to claim their prize.

“By linking up with JVC, we have a brilliant opportunity to give our listeners the chance to win some of the best in-car radio technology there is,” said Nick Hewat, Sales Director at Virgin Radio. “This will mean football fans will enjoy vital football news and commentary over the summer with a greater range of stations and superior sound quality.”

Carl Hynes of JVC Limited said, “This is a great move for JVC as Virgin Radio connects with a national audience of football lovers and early adaptors of new technology, particularly digital radio. This initiative will allow listeners to win the very latest in-car radio technology whilst tuning in to their favourite radio station.”

The two week-long promotion runs from Monday 22nd May ? Friday 26th May and then Monday 29th May ? Friday 2nd June.
